Perhaps that was New Balance s thinking while they were creating their brand new silhouette, the NB 1574.Then again, the shoe takes on inspiration from the classic 574 runner, and sits atop a NB 1500-like sole. What makes the design unique is the way it s constructed: using a sonic fusing method of pressure to construct the full grain leather upper, which creates a watertight build. Shown here are a few designs which are said to be part of New Balance s Spring collection, so expect them to hit retailers soon.

Columbia University⬠So far the New Balance Ivy League Collection has let loose a Brown University and Princeton themed H710. This leaves at least 6 more silhouettes in the wings and the next one we get to check out is for asics cumulus 18 Columbia University.As with the previous colorways this demure number is done in Grey leather and mesh. A lighter shade of Grey is used for the heel tab, N log and a darker shade on the midsole. The shoe features a Black outsole that adds a bit of weight and metallic silver D-Rings. Columbia blue is used sparingly on the laces asics dynaflyte and tongue tag to round the design out. These are set to drop outside of the US in February. Stay tuned for the US release dates.

Coyote⬠The impressive collaborative effort known as the Nonnative x New Balance CM1500 Coyote that we saw a short while ago is finally making its way to release.The Coyote themed kick sports a nappy suede upper that is on full display in these new photos. The hunting inspired sneaker also features hits of the vibrant Orange that outdoorsmen must wear in order to be identified by other hunters. These are slated to be in stores on January 3rd. The online store will stock them on January 2nd and mail orders will go out on January 10th.

Night Day⬠Pack Perth retailer Highs Lows teams up with New Balance to craft two special asics gel colorways of the 577. The conceptual releases are based on a Night Day theme that reflects beach-side strolls, mid-day cookouts and streetside sundowners.The Night colorway features Black fullgrain leather and raw nubuck with a mesh toebox and 3M highlights as well as a speckled midsole. The Day version consists various shades of blue suede taking the place of the Black leather. As if the literal interpretation on the uppers wasn t enough the insoles also feature the sun or moon to help with further depiction. These will be available on black reebok trainers/a> April 2011 as a part of the World SMU program.
